Landcare-Like Projects in the Lower Mississippi Basin

Saturday | Sunday | Monday | Tuesday

Lantana Meeting Room (Lobby Level)
An overview of the Lower Mississippi Valley Stakeholder workshop that was held in April 2006 and the perspective from regional councils who attended will be presented. The Lower Mississippi Valley Regional Stakeholder workshop addressed restoration tools, why investing in Nature makes good business sense, potential partners with the private sector in eco-system restoration activities, and how to improve conservation to create economic incentives and partnerships. Regional Councils have facilitated Landcare-like examples using their Green Infrastructure tools to get Landcare on the ground.
