The 2006 Executive Directors Conference was held in historic New Bern, where history was again made as the National Association of Regional Councils embarked simultaneously on its strategic planning process. The theme Regional Prosperity resonated from various sessions on Globalization, Economic Strategies, Technology and Personnel Management, and Public-Private Partnerships.
