Re: Upcoming Board Elections

Dear Members:

This is your notification of Board seats that are open for election at the Annual Conference in Des Moines, June 15-17. The notification of election and open seats will also be posted online and sent out closer to the Iowa meeting.

All nominations will be made from the floor followed by a second. If anyone wishes to pre-announce their intent to run for an Officer or a regional/at-large seat, a letter of nomination can be sent to NARC (c/o Fred Abousleman or emailed to fred@narc.org) from their respective regional council/MPO. NARC will electronically publish these preannouncements four weeks prior to the conference. The bylaws call for a representative of a regional or at-large seat to serve a two-year term with a maximum of three (3) consecutive two-year terms. Nominees and members will be notified of any relevant bylaw changes that take effect prior to the meeting. Of those Directors elected at-large or representing a District, only one person from a member regional council shall serve on the Board at any given time. Nominee organizations must be in good standing with NARC.
