Development Symposia

The U. S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration, in partnership with the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and the National Association of Regional Councils (NARC), presents "Disasters and Economic Dislocations; Building a Disaster-Resistant Economy," a free one-day Economic Development Symposium. Attendance to the symposia is complimentary, pre-registration online is available and on site registrations are welcome.
The symposium for the Atlanta Region is scheduled on Thursday, June 14 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, 265 Peachtree Center Avenue, Atlanta , Georgia 30303 (404.521.0000).
Sandy K. Baruah, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development will provide the welcome remarks and will lead the Townhall Meeting, an opportunity for open dialogue with the EDA leadership.
