Telecasts

EDA Economic Development Today Latest Telecast NARC has the experience of producing over fifteen live one-hour telecasts. This method of information dissemination has enabled NARC and partner Federal agencies to reach and educate target audiences such as regional councils, local elected officials, and technical professionals, as well as the general public. NARC provides a turnkey operation by handling all the details involved in the production. From identifying the speakers, marketing the event, content development, production, to evaluation of these nationally syndicated telecasts. Telecasts are conducted through cooperative agreements with various Federal agencies. The telecasts are broadcasted live via satellite connections and picked up by various host sites throughout the country using KU or C Band coordinates. The telecasts are also distributed to local cable television stations, public television, DISH network, and can be web cast as well. NARC has created telecasts on topics related to community, economic, and workforce development, an elected official’s perspective of operations, and the new 8-hour-ozone standards. The website has classified telecast information into upcoming and past telecasts. In the current telecasts - FAQs section, the viewer will find the technical requirements and other answers to frequently asked questions. In addition, one can find a flyer for an upcoming event, on-line registration, and an evaluation form to use after the event. A contact is made available if you need assistance with locating a host-site. Usually, the flyer and on-line registration are available a month prior to the event. The current telecasts can also be found in the Events section and by issue areas on the website. The past telecasts are separated by topic and organized by date. Each telecast section provides a flyer that gives a brief description and lists the speakers, a summary article on the telecast that has appeared in one of NARC’s publications, and a link to view the telecast on the Federal agencies' websites.
