Many universities are identifying research and technology that leads to successful economic development. The telecast highlights how Universities and Regional Councils have worked together to help their communities turn the corner in becoming competitive economies. Examples will focus on how community colleges are providing technical assistance to regions; how university-led technology incubators are helping to commercialize products being developed within universities; and how universities have assisted in identifying the clusters in a region. The telecast will highlight how economic development organizations and regional councils are working with local universities to strengthen their regions.
