The focus of this workshop is to provide nonattainment areas (especially first-time areas and Early-Action Compact areas) the most up to date information to assist you in preparing for the implementation of the 8-hour ozone standard. The new NAAQS have implications for planning boundaries, agency coordination, conformity, CMAQ funding and more. Speakers from the EPA and FHWA will learn what the new rules say, how they differ from the past rules, the rationale for the changes, and how the new rules may affect your plans and processes.
