The focus of this workshop is to provide Nonattainment Areas (especially first-time areas and Early-Action-Compact Areas) the most up to date information to assist you in preparing for the implementation of the 8-hour ozone standard. The new NAAQS has implications for planning boundaries and coordination, conformity, CMAQ funding and
more. Speakers from EPA and FHWA will explain the regulations and implications, and you?ll hear from State and local peers about preparation activities and issues. You?ll learn what the new rules say, how they are different from the past, the rationale for the changes, and how the new rules may impact your plans and processes.
