The purpose of this workshop is to assist Early-Action-Compact and newly-designated nonattainment areas in implementing an outreach program, which is the first tool in implementing transportation solutions to air quality problems.

“It All Adds Up to Cleaner Air” - What’s New
Session is an update from the FHWA/EPA team on whats’s new in the initiative. A large, medium and small Regional Council and/or MPO will give their perspective on the program.
Measuring the Emissions Benefits of Ozone Action Programs
Eric Schreffler, Consultant will emphasize documentation of outreach
and public education programs so that the outreach program can be
legitimately included in an air quality plan, the potential emission
reductions can be estimated, and credit can be taken in the SIP.
Evaluation Tools to Help You Demonstrate the Benefits of Outreach
Kathy Daniel, FHWA will cover all stages of evaluation research,
concluding with tools to help Air Quality Outreach Programs with
process impact evaluation.
