NARC Supports Funding Increases in Senate Appropriations Debate
NARC sent a letter to the Senate Appropriations Committee expressing appreciation for advancing the FY15 appropriations process and supporting increased funding for the Economic Development Administration in the Commerce-Justice-Science (CJS) appropriations bill, and for local and regional transportation and housing programs in the Transportation-HUD (THUD) appropriations bill. Both bills, which passed through Senate Appropriations subcommittees yesterday, are scheduled for full Committee markup tomorrow at 10:00am ET.
We encourage NARC members, particularly those that have a Senator on the Committee, to contact the Senate Appropriations Committee and voice your opinion supported by local and regional examples. Click HERE for a list of Committee members.
