NARC Working Groups
Communications and Government Affairs (CGA)
About: The Communication and Government Affairs (CGA) Working Group facilitates effective communication with elected officials and the public about the value of regions. Our member organizations represent regions of all sizes and political affiliations. While most members have a focus on transportation planning, other members work in a broad variety of issue areas. When we unify around a shared message, our voice is stronger. The CGA Working Group strives to be a place where all members can share tips, questions, and resources. We encourage you to add your voice to the conversation!
Membership: All NARC member organizations are invited to enroll their staff in the CGA Working Group. Whether you’re an Executive Director or a team member working in communications or government affairs your participation is highly encouraged. Meetings: The CGA Working Group meets quarterly via Zoom and at least once a year in-person at the Annual Conference in June. There is also a vibrant online platform to keep group members connected throughout the year.
Housing
About: The Housing Working Group brings together housing staff from COGs to learn, seek advice, and form a vibrant community. This group aims to equip your staff with the tools to face regional housing challenges head-on, focusing on Growth, Collaboration, and Community. The current chair of the group is Hilary Chapman (MWCOG).
Membership: All NARC member organizations are invited to enroll their staff in the Housing Working Group. Whether you’re an Executive Director or a team member working on housing, your participation is highly encouraged. Complete this form or email luxe.langmade@narc.org to become a member.

Deputy Directors and Fiscal Officers
The Fiscal Officers Working Group brings together fiscal officers, fiscal managers, chief financial officers, and deputy directors from regional councils across the country.
